Sara Lynn Petrosky

Sara is a 1987 graduate of Temple Law School, from which she graduated cum laude, and a 1982 graduate of Messiah College (magna cum laude). While in law school, Sara was on Law Review, won her law school’s Moot Court Competition, and was a finalist in the National Moot Court Competition. She received her initial legal training at Pepper, Hamilton & Sheetz, where she worked for two years. She first worked with Tim and Rich at Sprecher, Felix, Visco, Hutchison & Young, where she worked after Pepper. After leaving Sprecher, Sara worked for Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, then as the Executive Director of Philadelphia Bar Association’s pro bono program, Volunteers for Indigent People (VIP), a service of the Philadelphia Bar Association that attempts to find lawyers willing to volunteer to represent indigent people. Sara joined McCann & Geschke, P.C. in March, 1995, and works exclusively in the defense of medical negligence claims.

Sara served on the Board of Commissioners of Nether Providence Township, Delaware County from 1994 until 2006. She was elected president of that Board
in 1996, after serving on the Board only two years, and she remained president for
six years. She is also a member of the Commission on Women in the Profession, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Currently, Sara serves on the State Board of Medicine.
