Richard Geschke

Rich Geschke is a 1982 Villanova Law School graduate. Rich then became an associate at Obermayer, Rebmann, Maxwell and Hippel, and an associate and
then partner at Sprecher, Felix, Visco, Hutchison and Young. Rich joined Tim
McCann and Brendan Mailey (since deceased) in 1991 and has been a partner
in the firm since.

Rich is a 1973 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, and has a M.S. in
special education from Indiana University. Prior to law school, Rich was a teacher
in and then director of programs for mentally handicapped children. All of Rich’s work is devoted to the litigation of medical malpractice claims, including
defense of hospitals, physicians and nurses, as well as some litigation involving medical devices. Rich began his career at Obermayer as a labor attorney, representing hospitals and long-term care facilities and became a malpractice litigator at Sprecher. Rich has also counseled health care clients in such areas as non-consensual emergency treatment and aids-related issues and has given presentation to medical staffs on litigation related issues, such as documentation, informed consent and depositions.

Rich is involved in many community issues. He is on the Board of Trustees of Rosemont College and has served as the President of the Board of Trustees of St. Joseph’s Prep.
